With war in Iraq intensifying, the 75th annual Academy Awards will be postponed from Sunday to DATE TK, WHO TK announced WHEN TK. The Academy felt that holding the ceremony on Sunday would be inappropriate, WHO TK SAID. ”QUOTE TK ABOUT WHAT TK AND WHEN TK.” ANY OTHER DETAILS ABOUT THE CEREMONY TK.”

Though the Oscars have never been cancelled, this is the fourth time they’ve been postponed. They were previously delayed in 1938 (after floods in L.A.), in 1968 (after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.), and in 1981 (after President Reagan was shot).
