There are two sides to everything — especially the tongues of celebrities. As our left-brained war room officials deploy troops, our (predominantly) right-brained pop culture generals have been dropping a few bombs of their own. ON THE ONE HAND ”I am not anti-Bush.”

ON THE OTHER ”I am pro-peace. I have written a song [”American Life”] and created a video which expresses my feelings about our culture and values and the illusions of what many people believe is the American dream….and that’s how I honor my country.”

ON THE ONE HAND ”I’m not pro-war.”

ON THE OTHER ”I don’t even understand why we’ve taken nuclear weapons off the table….I think you’ve got to pick a day where there’s no wind, in a desolate part of the earth, just blow off a bomb just to let them know we’re sitting on a nice hold card, okay?”
