Fans of the synth-pop soldiers’ every incarnation can gorge on this four-CD collection of crucial album cuts, B sides, remixes, and live tracks. Curiously curated by two critics, a DJ, and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, the set includes everything from an atmospheric, spine-tingling version of ”1963” to familiar treasures like ”The Perfect Kiss.” Joy Division may have always been the cooler hipster band to pledge allegiance to, but this bountiful box finally gives the post-Ian Curtis hitmakers the veneration they deserve.
