Zsa Zsa Gabor in serious condition after car crash
Zsa Zsa Gabor was in serious condition Saturday as she recovered from a Sunset Boulevard car crash, according to the Associated Press. The 85-year-old actress had been a front-seat passenger in a car that hit a light pole Wednesday afternoon; she suffered broken bones and needed stitches, AP reported. The car’s driver was Gabor’s hairdresser, who suffered minor injuries. Gabor wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, according to Reuters.
Gabor’s husband, Frederic von Anhalt, told AP that Gabor is conscious but will remain in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for at least a week. Gabor, a former Miss Hungary, long ago abandoned a serious acting career in favor of a B-movies, an opulent lifestyle, and numerous romantic entanglements. Her relatively recent work includes appearances as herself in 1991’s ”Naked Gun 2: The Smell of Fear” and 1993’s ”The Beverly Hillbillies.”
