A day after Wednesday’s finale of ABC’s ”The Bachelor,” Aaron Buerge and his betrothed, Helene Eksterowicz, told reporters that they’re in no rush to get married. ”I guess we’re just trying to get to know each other outside the show,” Helene said at a press conference at ABC headquarters in New York. Said Aaron, ”Today is the third time we’ve seen each other” since the question-popping finale was taped 12 weeks ago, though they’ve spoken on the phone nearly every day. ”We’re not in a hurry to walk down the aisle. We’ll be very diligent and hope we make the right decision.”

But they will wed eventually, Helene confirmed, sort of. ”I don’t have any doubts at this point, if things progress the way they have,” she said. The equally romantic Aaron revealed to Helene that he wanted her to sign a prenuptial agreement.

One hitch in their hitching plans is that Helene lives in Gloucester, N.J., while Aaron lives in Springfield, Mo. ”I’m not saying I’m ready to move tomorrow, but I’m open to the possibility,” Helene said. ”I have a job, responsibilities that I’ve signed up for and close family and friends. So I’d have to feel really strong about our relationship and taking it to the next level to be able to go to Springfield, but I’m not opposed to it.”

Runner-up Brooke Smith appeared at an earlier press conference. ”I still am in love with him,” she said of Aaron. ”I haven’t been able to date anybody.” However, she still expects to find love. ”There’s another Aaron out there, she said.” Let’s hope, for her sake, that there’s not another Helene as well.
