Bjork: Greatest Hits

Family Tree is a six-CD boxed set that satisfyingly showcases the development of this uniquely talented artist, from her quirky Sugarcubes-era ”Birthday” (sung here in Icelandic) to 2000’s poignant ”I’ve Seen It All.” Unfortunately, it wastes two discs on the Brodsky Quartet, whose classical interpretations deflate the grandiosity that makes Bjork’s music so much fun. If you want to be violently happy, opt for Greatest, whose hits — like the corrosive ”Army of Me” and soaring ”Joga” — were voted on by fans.
