A dreamy adaptation of Natalie Babbitt’s children’s novel, a variation on the fountain-of-youth myth, starring Gilmore Girls’ Alexis Bledel. She meets the Tucks, a wilderness family headed by Sissy Spacek and William Hurt, and falls for a boy who’ll never age (Jonathan Jackson). The movie’s swirling emotions never become too drippy.
