Lush, high-plains soundtrack music by a gun for hire who’s worked with PJ Harvey, the Eels, and Giant Sand. The spaghetti-Western indie-rock vibe of the latter is the touchstone here, albeit with few vocals to distract from the landscape of dust-choked guitars, harmonicas, brass, and strings. At least until Polly Jean Harvey rides into town like an avenging blues mama, throat blazing.
