Mercurial singer-songwriter FIONA APPLE, in L.A., recording the follow-up to 1999’s epically titled When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like a King….

Longtime Cypress Hill producer DJ MUGGS, in L.A., working on his first solo album, an electronica and drum-and-bass affair that will feature guest appearances by Everlast, former Afghan Whig Greg Dulli, and onetime Buckcherry singer Josh Todd. The album, called Dust, is due in April from Epitaph imprint Anti.

LIMP BIZKIT, in L.A., putting in quantity time for their tentatively titled Less Is More. The rap-rockers will be ”Rollin”’ out the disc, their fourth and the follow-up to 2000’s Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, next year.
