Kid Rock aide is arrested for drug possession. A search of the rap-rocker's tour bus yields marijuana and cocaine, police say
Kid Rock’s CD ”Cocky” includes a song called ”What I Learned Out on the Road.” No doubt he learned a couple of new things over the weekend as police in Florida pulled over his tour bus and said they found cocaine and marijuana. The rap-rocker was not on the bus at the time, but his personal assistant was arrested and charged with possession, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The arrest came around midnight Saturday night, hours after Kid Rock had opened for Aerosmith at the Coral Sky Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. Police told the Post they had been tipped off by a motorist that there might be drugs aboard the bus. Only the driver and Kevin Joseph McMahon, who identified himself as the musician’s personal assistant, were aboard, telling police that Kid Rock and his band had flown ahead to Nashville. According to the report, cops and a drug-sniffing dog found a small amount of cocaine on McMahon and found two joints and a marijuana pipe on the bus. McMahon said that the drugs and paraphernalia were his and admitted to smoking pot daily and using cocaine occasionally, the report said. The 36-year-old was arrested, detained at the St. Lucie County jail, and released the next day on $16,000 bond. He was charged with one felony count of cocaine possession and misdemeanor counts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
Kid Rock’s tour with Aerosmith continues for the next several weeks, including a date Nov. 9 in Las Vegas. That’s when, according to Kid pal Hank Williams Jr., he’ll marry fiancée Pamela Anderson.
