THE CHARTS
WIDESPREAD ‘PANIC’
It’s dark at the top of the video chart this week…and there’s something lurking in it. Well, two somethings, as the week’s big debuts feature different kinds of creatures that go bump in the night: Panic Room has Jodie Foster protecting her offspring from unwanted domestic intruders, while Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. tells of warm and funny beasties that scare because they care. Even though Panic took the rental cake, Monsters will likely be the 800-pound DVD gorilla of the season.
