STALK OF THE TOWN

Maybe Windex would’ve helped: The weekend that My Big Fat Greek Wedding was predicted to march down the aisle to No. 1, high school thriller Swimfan managed to snag the top spot with $11.3 million. Meanwhile, Robert De Niro’s City by the Sea drifted into third place with $8.9 million, and M. Night Shyamalan passed the $200 million mark for the second time in his filmmaking career–with all Signs pointing to his Mel Gibson pic beating out Austin Powers in Goldmember to become the third-highest-grossing movie of 2002, behind Spider-Man and Star Wars: Episode II.
