LABOR DAZE

The folks at warner Bros. must be wondering whether they should have halted their IPO for Fear dot Com, as end-of-summer moviegoers invested in more established fare. Signs took the No. 1 slot for the third time in its five-week-old run, while My Big Fat Greek Wedding (launched way back in the good old days when WorldCom was still considered profitable) climbed all the way to No. 2. The IFC sleeper should vie for top honors against lightweight challengers for the next couple of weeks. Finally, Fox Searchlight continued its recent hot streak, landing Jennifer Aniston’s The Good Girl at No. 9 and Robin Williams’ One Hour Photo at No. 11.
