Unlike last year, there probably won’t be any live snakes at this year’s , but their might be some snakeskin pants. MTV announced that Shakira has joined the list of performers at the Radio City Music Hall celebration, along with , augmenting a lineup that already includes Bruce Springsteen, Pink, and Eminem.

Shakira may get to make more than one stage appearance that night. The Colombian singer is up for four Moonman trophies for ”Whenever, Wherever” (Best Female Video, Best Dance Video, Best Pop Video and Best Cinematography in a Video). Combs is up for two awards as well, for Best Rap Video for ”Bad Boy for Life” and Best Hip-Hop Video, along with Busta Rhymes and Pharrell, for ”Pass the Courvoisier Part II.” Leading the list of nominees are Eminem, Missy Elliott, and P.O.D., with six nods apiece.

Although her snake is staying home, Britney Spears will still be on hand as a presenter, along with Nelly, B2K, Elton John, and the artist formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow. (The adolescent ”Like Mike” star wants people to drop the ”Lil’.”) ”Saturday Night Live”’s Jimmy Fallon is hosting the show, which airs live on Aug. 29.
