Lobos celebrate their 25th anniversary as a working band with a working-band album: a sturdy, consolidating set of refined boogie and chugging border music, highlighted by the Tex-Mex soul of ”Hearts of Stone” and the Hispanic-ghetto scenes of the title song. No surprises, although Cesar Rosas’ wistful ”Luz de Mi Vida” takes on added poignancy in light of his wife’s murder by her half brother.
