Playing an Irish-Catholic Everyguy grappling with relationships worked the first couple of times for writer-director-star Burns (”The Brothers McMullen,” ”She’s the One”), but now the shtick is getting a bit old. This time Burns is one of six Manhattanites (including Graham, Brittany Murphy, and Stanley Tucci) whose views on love and dating are documented in the Big Apple. But despite fresh performances and a bittersweet pre-9/11 New York City backdrop, the material remains woefully rehashed. Maybe it’s time for Burns to take a road less traveled.
