The so-called Elephant 6 collective has inducted so many vaguely interchangeable psychedelic pop acts, it could rename itself the Sgt. Pepper Academy. Yet recent LPs by Beulah, Circulatory System, and now the Sunshine Fix prove there’s still merit in the curriculum. The Fix is Bill Doss, one half of audio trippers Olivia Tremor Control, here trading soundscapes for soft-focus songs dressed in late-’60s filigree. But don’t fret, space cadets: There’s still a 16-minute drone finale. B
