The Royal Tenenbaums

Director Wes Anderson raised the bar for movie music with his wonderful ”Rushmore” soundtrack. This latest effort, for The Royal Tenenbaums, is another delightfully odd mix of left-field choices: plangent folk (Nico, Nick Drake), bracing punk (Ramones, Clash), Tinkertoy classicism (Mark Mothersbaugh) — and the worst song Bob Dylan ever recorded (”Wigwam”). Get it, even if you skip the flick.
