BIRTHS Husky-voiced actress Cathy Moriarty (But I’m a Cheerleader), 41, welcomed 6-pound 14 1/2-ounce daughter Anabella Rose, Nov. 15, in L.A. This is her third child with financier husband Joseph Gentile; their twins, Joseph John and Catherine Patricia, are 14 months old.

EXPECTING Xena, get ready for morning xickness. Ex-Warrior Princess Lucy Lawless, 33, and producer hubby Rob Tapert, 46, expect their second child this spring. The couple met while filming the show, which he cocreated. They have a son, Julius, 2, and Lawless has a daughter, Daisy, 13, from her first marriage.

WEDDINGS Has Buffy heard about this? Hunky reformed vampire David Boreanaz (Angel), 30, wed beauty Jaime Bergman (Son of the Beach), 26, Nov. 24, in Palm Springs, Calif. This is his second marriage, her first.

ENGAGED Oscar winner Liza Minnelli, 55, will say Wilkommen! to a new hubby, producer David Gest, 46, March 2, in New York City. They met in September while filming Michael Jackson‘s 30th-anniversary TV special, which Gest produced. ”I am the happiest I’ve ever been,” Minnelli said in a statement. ”Everything I’ve been through was worth it to find David.” This will be Gest’s first marriage, Minnelli’s fourth. Her previous husbands include late composer Peter Allen and late director Jack Haley Jr.

DATING Brit actress Kate Winslet (Quills), 26, and American Beauty‘s Oscar-winning director, Sam Mendes, 36, have been an item since October, her spokesman confirms. Winslet and assistant-director hubby James Threapleton (The Mummy), 27, separated in September.

SPLITS On Nov. 20, actress Mariah O’Brien (Ordinary Madness), 30, filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Giovanni Ribisi (Shot in the Heart), 26. Their daughter, Lucia, is 4. Ribisi’s spokeswoman didn’t return calls.

ARRESTS Stone Temple Pilots rocker Scott Weiland, 34, was arrested Nov. 19 in Las Vegas after allegedly grabbing and shoving his model wife, Mary, 27, during an argument at the Hard Rock Hotel. Weiland, free on bail, is set to appear in court Dec. 19 to face a possible misdemeanor domestic-violence charge. His spokeswoman hadn’t heard about the arrest.

COURTS On Nov. 20, Broadway composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim, 71, and writer John Weidman sued producer Scott Rudin (The Royal Tenenbaums), 43, claiming he scuttled a Chicago production of their musical, Gold!, this year. According to the suit, Rudin, who could not be reached, says he has sole rights to produce the show. Sondheim and Weidman contend his rights expired last year and are seeking $5 million in damages.

AILING Bug-eyed comedian Rodney Dangerfield (Little Nicky) suffered a mild heart attack in L.A., Nov. 22, his 80th birthday, says his spokesman. The rep adds that the famously disrespected funnyman passed a Nov. 26 angiogram ”with flying colors,” and at press time was scheduled for release from Cedars-Sinai hospital by Dec. 1. Dangerfield underwent double-bypass surgery in March 2000.
