Shopaholics, put your talent to good use. Starting Nov. 11, upscale bridal site BridesMade.com hosts Glory Auctions, an online sale to benefit 9/11 charities. Organized by cofounders Julie Hecht Wells and Nancy Williams with help from celeb stylist Phillip Bloch, the two-week auction features 60 to 70 pieces of designer duds and memorabilia belonging to such A-listers as Gwyneth Paltrow, John Travolta, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz, Beyonce Knowles, Sheryl Crow, Natalie Portman, and Britney Spears. Confirmed pieces include Queen Amidala goodies signed by Portman, Crow’s leather pants from Stevie Nicks’ ”Sorcerer” video, Paltrow’s Calvin Klein gown, and a Catherine Malandrino flag dress from Berry. Proceeds from individual sales will go to a charity chosen by each celeb or designer. The auction ”was a way for us to refocus our nervous energy and be creative for a good cause,” says Wells. ”Everyone wants to help, and this is the best way we can.”
