Forget Neil Armstrong. According to this nostalgia-fest, the real heroes of the 1969 moon landing were the small-town Aussies manning the satellite dish that brought us live TV coverage. Thanks to a subtly affecting performance by Neill and some well-chosen ’60s tunes, director Rob Sitch’s Dish is sweet but not saccharine. It’s also utterly believable — after all, the story is inspired by real events — though it does take a leap of faith to accept Warburton (Elaine’s face-painting boyfriend Puddy on Seinfeld) as a hard-nosed NASA geek.
