We gave it a B

A clear-voiced tunesmith who dresses like the Smiths and sings something like Ron Sexsmith, Mead makes simple, pretty music, and his second album, produced by Fountains of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger, scores with sweet melodies like ”Flamin’ Angel” and ”Elodie.” Mead’s songs neither demand attention nor deepen with repeat listens, making him easy to like but hard to love. Still, Yours is no disgrace.
