It could be called The Book of Amy. Not only did Amy Sedaris cowrite The Book of Liz with brother David, but she also plays Liz and bakes the cupcakes for sale in the lobby. Her castmates work hard, too: A splendid company of four brings off 15 roles in Liz, the story of a Squeamish (read: Amish) woman with a pesky perspiration problem and a God-given gift for cheese balls. This is funny, but add three Ukrainians, two gay waiters, and one giant peanut, and it’s screamingly funny. Plus, at just 75 minutes, there’s time for dinner — and a cupcake — afterward.
