BIRTHS On March 26, R&B impresario Kenneth ”Babyface” Edmonds, 42, and producer wife Tracey Edmonds (Josie and the Pussycats), 34, greeted 7-pound 1-ounce son Dylan Michael. They have a son, Brandon, 4…If it please the court, Judging Amy‘s Amy Brenneman, 36, and director hubby Brad Silberling (City of Angels), 37, swore in their first child, 7-pound 12-ounce Charlotte, March 20…On March 19, Hollow Man‘s Elisabeth Shue, 37, and director spouse Davis Guggenheim (Gossip), 37, welcomed 6-pound 6-ounce daughter Stella. Son Miles William is 3.

EXPECTING Crossover chanteuse Shania Twain, 35, and music-producer husband Robert ”Mutt” Lange, 51, confirmed March 22 that they’re expecting their first child.

WEDDINGS The Fugitive star Tommy Lee Jones, 54, is no longer on the run. On March 19, he wed photographer Dawn Maria Laurel, 36, in San Antonio. This is the Oscar winner’s third marriage; it’s her first.

COURTS On March 27 in L.A., screen siren Sharon Stone, 43, was granted a temporary restraining order against Agostino P’omata, 32. Stone’s lawyer declined to elaborate on scant legal documents alleging that P’omata ”threatened to commit acts of violence” against the actress. P’omata could not be reached for comment… The pristine image of the boys in Fox Family Channel’s pop group S Club 7 went up in smoke March 20 when Bradley McIntosh, 18, Paul Cattermole, 23, and Jon Lee, 18, were detained in London for pot possession. The Brit group’s four females weren’t involved. In a statement, the boys said, ”We know we’ve made a mistake and we’re very sorry.”… Legal crusader Erin Brockovich-Ellis, 40 — made famous by Julia Roberts’ Oscar-winning portrayal — may soon be back in court. On March 20, her ex-husband, stockbroker Steven Brockovich, 43, sued her for defamation, seeking unspecified damages, over disparaging statements she allegedly made about his child-support payments in PEOPLE and Star interviews. Her lawyer, Edward Masry (played by Albert Finney in the film), says the plaintiff would fare better ”pulling teeth out of a hungry lion than suing Erin Brockovich.”

DEATHS Cinematographer Piotr Sobocinski, 43, an Oscar nominee for 1994’s Red, March 26, in Vancouver. He was one week into filming 24 Hours, starring Courtney Love and Charlize Theron. The cause of death had not been determined at press time… Platinum-coiffed starlet Toby Wing (42nd Street), 85, the country’s hottest pinup before Betty Grable claimed that mantle during World War II, of unknown causes, March 23, in Mathews, Va…Cartoon pioneer William Hanna, 90, of undisclosed causes, March 22, in L.A. Hanna and partner Joseph Barbera, 90, met in 1937 at MGM, where they created scores of Tom and Jerry shorts, seven of them Oscar winners. In 1957 the duo founded their own firm, catering to the growing TV market and creating such famed characters as Fred Flintstone, Yogi Bear, and Scooby-Doo.
