Director-choreographer Susan Stroman’s soaring, Tony-winning dance fantasy must be seen to be fully appreciated; no current Broadway show uses movement more thrillingly. But to a surprising degree, this set of recordings from the show works by itself. The numbers — from Benny Goodman’s sinewy, nuanced ”Sing Sing Sing” to the Squirrel Nut Zippers’ recent neo-swing gem ”Put a Lid on It” — make you want to dance.
