Album Review: 'Ramblin' Mind'
Formulaic as it can be, Chicago blues is a powerful force in the right hands, which, in this case, belong to the son of Muddy Waters. Besides the pedigree, patience is a virtue for the fortysomething Bill, who released his debut only two years ago. It also comes in handy on the slow-burner ”Highway 69,” one of several songs on which Morganfield sounds eerily like his late daddy. The comparisons are inevitable, but the big man is up to the challenge. B
