Human suffering unfolds among teak cabinets, darling candleholders, and gold-lit wrought-iron whatnots in director Jeremy Podeswa’s ensemble drama — a pioneering work of Pottery Barn Hedonism. Even more precious than the sets, the interlaced story lines find the likes of a baker, a masseuse, and a hard-of-hearing eye doctor working through loneliness with New Age aplomb. The whiff you are catching is the stink of fancy cheese. C-
