Sporting a newly tacked on partner (Christina Aguilera) and pumped up Latin percussion, ”Nobody Wants to Be Lonely,” from Rickey Martin’s stalled ”Sound Loaded” is transformed from a sullen romantic proposition to a full scale power duet. Either way, it’s little more than efficient hackwork from cowriter producer Desmond Child. On the Child scale, it’s halfway between the wretched ”How Can We Be Lovers” and the eternal ”Livin’ on a Prayer.”
