ALABAMA When It All Goes South (RCA) The title could refer to 1999’s Twentieth Century, one of the country-music group’s worst-selling albums ever. Now they hope to lure back disappointed fans with Jann Arden and Christopher Cross collaborations.

VARIOUS ARTISTS Traffic soundtrack (TVT) The accompaniment to Steven Soderbergh’s latest includes a score by ex-Chili Pepper Cliff Martinez and additional tracks by Morcheeba, Fatboy Slim, and Brian Eno.
