If this album has any unifying theme, it’s ex-Poison vocalist Bret Michaels stroking his own ego. Rather than hand over the reins, the wuss-metal god — assisted by assorted D-list rockers — revisits his own songs to little improvement. ”Look What the Cat Dragged In” sounds like extra-limp Limp Bizkit, while ”I Want Action” is a drony, electro-flavored makeover. And if ”Unskinny Bop” weren’t enough to make you say blaaah the first time, imagine a version on which Pauly Shore turns its lyrics into a paean to penis envy. F
