Got a Robert Downey Jr.-size addiction to Xmas spirit? Then pawn your mom’s snow globes for ticket money, because the extravaganza Radio City Christmas Spectacular is like mainlining tinsel. With all the subtlety of a candy cane in the eye, an ebullient Santa and the Rockettes sing and dance to snippets of every imaginable carol in a Cliffs Notes guide to Christmas cheer. And Santa makes sure to keep the 67-year-old show hep for the kids with such ”now” interjections as ”Raise the roof.” So if you’re too cynical for pageantry this unrelenting, talk to the elf ’cause the beard ain’t listening.
