A ”Grinch” premiere

Snowballs and carolers greeted the likes of Eddie Murphy and Tim Allen and their wide-eyed wee ones on the Grinch-green carpet at the Nov. 8 L.A. premiere of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas. According to makeup wiz Rick Baker, the Grinch set was adrift in white powder and actors with straws up their noses — but it’s not what you think. The powder was faux snow, and straws helped actors breathe through prosthetic Who honkers. Star Jim Carrey told EW he’s game for more Seuss: ”Green Eggs and Ham was the story of my life. I wouldn’t eat a thing when I was a kid, but Dr. Seuss inspired me to try cauliflower.”
