Although it fails to explain why the inside of the Brady house didn’t match the exterior shots, the Sitcom Architects Registry ( does contain more than a few nostalgic pleasures. Its list of blueprinters is buoyed by interior designers (Dixie Carter), engineers (Bing Crosby), and those on the slab-o’-beef construction side of things (Patrick Duffy). And besides picturing each character and offering a short bio, some entries even include a brick-by-brick list of professional accomplishments. One question: Was it really Wilbur Post who designed Mae West’s horse stable, or was Mr. Ed the mastermind? A-
