Music Review: 'Private Suit'

The Dutch guitar band Bettie Serveert has grown pallid over the years; only on the title track of Private Suit, when the twin guitars launch into a joyful roar, do the Betties rekindle the fiery abandon of their early-’90s start. They’ve become a sort of Teutonic Cowboy Junkies: mistily atmospheric, offering little to sink your teeth into. C+
