Even the ”World’s Smartest Woman” — Parade columnist and Mensa member Marilyn vos Savant — sometimes goofs. Enter know-it-all Herb Weiner, a software engineer in Portland, Ore., who has collected (and, with the help of his readers, corrected) the erroneous information in vos Savant’s columns. Marilyn, for example, says that the least number of Ping-Pong balls you’d need to create a four-sided equilateral pyramid is 4,900; two readers wrote in to Weiner to point out that the correct answer is — oops — five.
