Reality bites in Gia director Michael Cristofer’s steamy but overstylized portrayal of love and sex in the ’90s, which (intentionally?) ends up as shallow as its one-dimensional cast. A group of young, hot-bodied L.A. professionals Rashomonly recall the sordid events of a liquor-soaked night and address the camera with forced philosophies like ”sex without love equals violence.” If so, the three minutes of titillation added for the unrated version should leave renters ready to rumble.
