The real ”wonder” is that the Wonder Boys soundtrack doesn’t feature a single WB-friendly, brand-spankin’ new teen-pleasiing artist (or even anyone under 50). Instead, Boys offers somber classics from Tim Hardin, Leonard Cohen, and Van Morrison — plus the first original Dylan tune of the millennium (the eerie story-song ”Things Have Changed”). Proven songwriting talent taking priority over mass sales appeal? Wonderful, indeed. B
