Julianne Moore is chosen for ''Hannibal''
Shooting could start as early as June 7
And the dinner — we mean winner — is… Julianne Moore! Universal Pictures chairman Stacey Snider confirms that the actress will most likely replace Jodie Foster as FBI agent Clarice Starling in ”Hannibal,” the ”Silence of the Lambs” sequel. Snider says a few contractual details remain to be worked out with the Oscar-nominated Moore (”The End of the Affair”), but the Ridley Scott-directed movie is ”95 percent” greenlit, and could start shooting as early as June 7 with a budget in the $70 million range.
