Seven years after her swingy, big-band album, ”Temptation,” Lynne returns with the declarative ”I Am Shelby Lynne,” a set of orchestral outings, bluesy ballads, and silky, head-spinning dance music that catches her midway between pop and soul. The feel evokes late-’60s Dusty Springfield, but the retro production, with Lynne’s smoky vocals mixed too low, has her fighting to be heard, spoiling the afterglow of her sensual ruminations. B
