With what smells like a contract-fulfillment record, the ex-Jane’s Addiction/Porno for Pyros head recaps with a playful set of hits, rarities, and future peeps. Alongside the familiar are left-field covers of Lou Reed’s ”Satellite of Love,” the Dead’s ”Ripple” (!) and West Side Story’s ”Tonight” (!!). The solo news is Rev’s rave & roll and a hilarious drum-and-bass translation of ”Whole Lotta Love.” Nice thoughts all. Mazel tov. B+
