This 15-song reworking of the 1969 soundtrack replaces George Martin’s orchestral score with Beatles numbers that were in the film but not on the original LP (like ”Nowhere Man,” ”All You Need Is Love”). The added material is available elsewhere, and the antiseptic new mixes smack of ’90s sonic biases. But there’s no disputing the enduring charms of these playfully spacey tunes, which add up to a handy distillation of the Fab Four’s psychedelic period. B+
