SOLD: A SPLASH-Y SYLVAN HIDEAWAY! 4 BR, 2 BTH log cabin in L.A.’s historic Rustic Canyon
PRICE $1.55 million

Daryl Hannah is trading the woods for the seashore. The actress is leaving her 2,300-square-foot cabin — tucked away in a wooded area of L.A.’s west side once used by the forestry service — in favor of Malibu. The house (for which Hannah paid about $1 million in 1995) was built as a film set for The Courtship of Miles Standish (1923) and later converted into a private home. Suzanne Peterson and Michele Hall of Coldwell Banker Previews recently sold the property, which contains a huge stone fireplace and original wrought-iron light fixtures, to a local businessman. The house also has a waterfall on the back patio — perfect for mermaids on holiday.
