We gave it a C+

Great live albums give fans something they can’t get from the studio. By that standard, Mirrorball shirks its responsibility. McLachlan’s superfans, no doubt, will detect subtle changes in her vocal phrasing, in songs like ”Building a Mystery” or ”Sweet Surrender,” not to mention tinkerings from her band. No one else will even notice it’s a live album until they hear the audience scream.
