On her solo debut No Angel, singer-songwriter Dido Armstrong hooks up with her brother, producer Rollo, to create a sound that is best characterized as ambient-pop Sarah McLachlan. The siblings, who last joined forces in the electro-dance band Faithless, have crafted a set of elegantly rockin’ romantic yearners (”Here With Me”) and swelling-stringed emoters (”Don’t Think of Me”) that, at their best, create a lovely sonic intimacy.
