Meet Bob Drudge — yes, Bob Drudge, father of infamous online columnist Matt, and a Net personality in his own right. As the creator of My Virtual Reference Desk (, Bob provides links to everything from the yellow pages to the nation’s leading newspapers. “My aim was to bring order to the Internet,” says Drudge, a family therapist who began his labor of love in 1995. “Being the son of a librarian, I knew that books and information require indexing.” With 35,000 visits daily, users seem to agree.
