Squeamish? Then you may want to skip these colorful pictures of exotic, elaborately posed dead insects. But if you have the stomach, these creepy-crawly images in The Illusion of Orderly Progress are so imaginative that they cancel out the ewww factor. Photographer Norfleet (who at one point froze live Mexican cockroaches in her quest for the ultimate bug models) puts beetles, grasshoppers, weevils, and tarantulas in human situations (a battle, a beauty pageant, an adulterous embrace) to highlight the frightening aspects of our foibles. Just don’t peruse while eating. B
