Just Write

A Hollywood tour-bus driver (Piven) poses as a screenwriter to the star of his dreams (Fenn), and so begin the sometimes winning, sometimes cloying high jinks. The ingenuous Fenn seems so unspoiled it’s hard to see how she survived the Hollywood jungle. And while Piven has a dorky charm, Just Write lacks the nimble daffiness this kind of romantic comedy needs. C+
