Oh, for more subtitles and subtlety in Ken Loach’s Glasgow bus driver- meets-Nicaraguan expatriate romance Carla’s Song. In Scotland we need help penetrating the accents; later, when Carlyle and Cabezas arrive in Nicaragua, we could use more than a puff piece for the Sandinistas, who here mainly sing sprightly proletarian tunes.
