The tenor sax legend both stretches out and comes home in an appealing-yet-artful package that might well broaden his fan base. He deviates from previous albums by exploring covers like the Costello-Bacharach tune ”God Give Me Strength.” He also touches personal roots by revising his ’60s ”hit” ”Forest Flower,” in its first new recording in decades.
