Imagine a hybrid of Trent Reznor, Beck, and Prince, and you can eye Spy, the nom de pop of Joshua Ralph. In Music to Mauzner By Ralph’s smoky lounge-lizard ambiance and hipster-Cuisinart eclecticism goes a long way but doesn’t entirely coalesce into actual songs. Still, talent doesn’t often come this chunky; on future releases he just might achieve the mission impossible. B
